From the border with France as far as Cervo, travelling towards Piedmont as far as the middle Arroscia valley, moving from one valley to the next we find open views of the sea, splendid medieval villages, olive groves, vineyards, flowers and breathtaking landscapes. A journey through seven ‘Balconies’, barycentric points where you can appreciate the beauty, history, crops, traditions and changes in the landscape. From the ancient villages, to the stone terraces overlooking the sea, to the wild Mediterranean maquis that has recaptured ancient protohistoric settlements of which mysterious traces remain: these are man-made landscapes to be cherished and protected, with unique characters and values.
