Olioliva turns 20, the extra virgin olive oil festival returns to Imperia from 5 to 7 November 2021
After last year’s forced break, the appointment with Olioliva is back, a festival that celebrates new Oil and gastronomic excellence with a rich program of tastings, guided tours and events.
The Ventennial of Olioliva, organized by the Special Company of the Chamber of Commerce in synergy with the Municipality of Imperia and with the collaboration of the Liguria Region, Liguria International and the support of territorial associations, is scheduled from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th November 2021 in the historic center of Imperia Oneglia. Olioliva will propose an evocative itinerary dedicated to Olive Oil through the main streets, arcades and squares of the historic city, where over two hundred exhibitors will be present, including companies and producers.
Olioliva also means cooking shows, meetings and conferences, workshops dedicated to children, literary salons, sporting events, walks, a marathon and many events related to the precious Ligurian Oil.
Thousands of guests from all over Europe are expected in Imperia and numerous foodbloggers will be present, who will have the opportunity to learn about (and tell on social media) places, products, history and art on the ways of Oil. For this reason Liguria International has organized, in coordination with the Riviere Chamber of Commerce, a Press Tour dedicated to European journalists and influencers.
The program of this Press Tour is full of activities, guided tours of the Carlo Carli Olive Museum and the Guatelli Museum, visits to local companies, meetings with the producers present at the Olioliva stands and insights into the history and food and wine culture of this territory.
The Chamber of Commerce of the Riviere, partner of two European projects related to tourism and the promotion of the territory – Pays Aimables, which enhances the beauty, culture and landscapes and Itinera Romanica, which wants to focus on the beautiful Romanesque sites, often still little known, of the three Ligurian provinces (Imperia, Savona and La Spezia) – on the occasion of Olioliva it will involve journalists, bloggers and influencers also in these projects, through a tour that includes various cultural experiences and guided visits to Cervo and Diano Castello.
