Garessio is split up into several characteristic hamlets. The main historic centre enjoys a strategic position in the centre of the Upper Tanaro Valley. It is currently being redeveloped and is also an ideal stay for international visitors: it is set against an intact traditional landscape, within easy reach of more crowded tourist destinations, from the Langhe wine district to the beaches in Liguria.
